The handle is crafted from solid American Red Alder wood and available in a variety of finishes: Natural Alder, Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, and Walnut. Customers can choose either a right-handed or left-handed orientation to suit their preference.

The generous 1-1/2" space between the blade and handle enables slicing thick slices for French toast or Texas toast, while the ultra-sharp blade also makes it easy to slice thin bread or bagel chips. The Bread Slicer arrives in a clear plastic sleeve for safe and easy storage.

Maintaining the Bread Slicer is a breeze. Simply wash the handle and blade with warm, soapy water and dry immediately. Do not immerse in water or place in the dishwasher. The edges of the slicer are rounded and hand-sanded for a smooth, comfortable grip, even for those with dexterity challenges.

To ensure a tight and taut blade, we use specialized equipment to gently "bow" the wooden handle before attaching the blade. This eliminates any wiggle or movement in the blade, resulting in straight, smooth slicing every time. We do not recommend attempting to remove the blade, as the wooden handle will spring back to its original shape, making reattachment impossible.
